    Celebrity prices wrong (senior fares)

Checking a random cruise: Celebrity Century 1/30/2012 you site does not show senior fares which are available on travelocity for group 9a and group 5.

Makes me wonder if other fares are missing/wrong....

Well Celebrity itself doesn't seem to be offering any senior rates for this cruise.

    Check http://www.celebritycruises.com/booking/getGuestCountReservationStep1.do?sailDate=1120130&packageCode=CN18K012

CF prices can only reflect cruise line data.

Care to give an URL for the fares you see on travelocity?

or do an advanced search for january 30th on celebrity....find the century from auckland. They still show senior fares.

Thanks to you I uncovered a deep bug that would sometimes remove senior rates if more expensive than standard rates in other currencies (long story).

So senior rates are back on Celebrity (in a couple hours).

Please keep hammering at CF to find the last bugs!

Thank you for this observation, I only know when i went to book this cruise the agent stated I could get a better rate for a senior for 1/30/12 and the military rate for 2/12/12. I hope that Cruise Fish in the future will do Military rates.

    I wasn't aware X did military rates.

Care to point out a cruise where they currently offer such a rate?

I have used the military rate many times, currently, I have a reduction booked on January 30, 2012 to Australia on the Century. The inside cabins is utilizing both senior and military rates.

But I don't see anywhere on Celebrity's website a checkbox for military rate... How does one select it?

It is on the page for selecting the cruise--under passenger profile and immediately following age for senior rate. See below:

Are you or someone traveling in your stateroom:
    Age 55+
U.S. Military or Canadian Forces Why do we ask?
Fire and Police Why do we ask?
    None of the Above
What state or province do you live in?
Select a state Not Applicable Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California Colorado Connecticut Delaware District Of Columbia Florida Georgia Hawaii Idaho Illinois Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania Puerto Rico Rhode Island South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming Alberta British Columbia Manitoba New Brunswick Newfoundland And Labrador Northwest Territories Nova Scotia Ontario Prince Edward Island Quebec Saskatchewan Yukon Territories Why do you need to know this?

Please Note: A valid driver's license, state-issued ID, proper military identification, or proper proof of fire/police employment (badge or ID) will be required for validation at the pier. If age, state of residency, military, or fire/police participation cannot be validated, you will be charged the standard rate or denied boarding.

Ah OK, I understand now. As I am now in Europe (beautiful Corsica) I don't see that option (only senior). But when I connect from a US IP address I do see it.

Military support should follow shortly for X.

Re: Celebrity prices wrong (senior fares)

Thank you for replying. Yes, Corsica is lovely. I know from working with foreign web sites that the US Celebrity is different in their projected rates.

There have been many times I have received the decreased benefits of the military rate and or senior rate. There have been occasions where one would be less than the other, which ever was lower I would take...hence the senior rate for Australia first half 1/30/12 and military rate for the second half 2/17/12.

I will be excited if you do the military rates and senior rate.
Rresident rates I imagine would be hard to do because of locations, This category often works, also.
