I just joined without knowing there were issues, paid for credits and now can't create any alerts. I emailed support and the emails aren't going through. Going to try to dispute with PayPal if the email continues to fail.

AS A TA I CAN TELL YOU THAT CCL HAS OUT SMARTED THE CRUISE FISH FOLKS.   HOW, BY NOT CHANGING THE RATES BUT  THE RATE CODES.  ALSO, I BOOK 70 CRUISES AHEAD FOR MYSELF.  ONLY ABLE TO DETECT  RATE CHANGES BY WEEKLY CHECKING TO SEE IF THE RATE HAS CHANGE FOR  THE OFW CODES (EARLY SAVERS WITH DISCOUNTS).  IN GENERAL CCL RATES ARE DROPING BY VERY SMALL AMOUNTS.   LARGER SAVINGS FOR JOURNEY CRUISES SOME TIMES BY 50%.  STILL I ENTER IN OUR CRUISES AND ONCE IN A WHILE GET A BIG SAVINGS BUT CERTAINLY NOT LIKE IN THE "OLD" DAYS.   THE CRUISING INDUSTRY IS JUST GETTING SMARTER.  ALSO, ALMOST ALL OF CCL'S SHIPS ARE FULL FOR CCL IS FILLING THEIR SHIPS WITH BLUE CARD HOLDERS, FIRST TIME CRUISERS.   IF YOU HAVE ONLY A FEW CRUISES BEST TO CHECK THEM OUT YOURSELF FREQUENTLY.

My alerts have been specific to a particular suite class on NCL, Princess and/or RCCL and they have worked in the past. My current alerts have not fired but then the suite class being monitored are sold out and I would not expect updates. In doing a bit of checking I see that the website was sold to Philippe Besson who has been the owner since November 21, 2013. Website was also moved out of Quebec Canada to Boulogne France.  I read another post that someone received a email reply from Titus saying that he was working on a resolving some problems as rapidly and he could although I would wonder why Titus would still be involved if he sold the website.

I do hope the website continues as I find it a tremendous benefit but I also check the cruise companies website periodically to make sure that prices have not gone down and missed by CF. I do believe the cruise lines do what they can to befuddle CF (and NCL on CruiseCompete).

So... Good Luck on your future searches, I hope that they result in savings for you.

Re: I think CruiseFish is DEAD

Thank you all for your comments.  I also check the cruiseline periodically to check on pricing and or promotionsl  I have 3 cruises booked for 2018 that represents a lot of money, I also have a huge cruise booked for 2019.  Since I m not always available to check on pricing I bought the alerts from this website, if I am paying for a service then I expect to get  responses from the Company.  Why are they taking money and not providing the promised service.  I know it is not a large amount of money but an agreement to provide service should be adhered to.  If Cruisefish is not doing what they promise then perhpas they should delete the website, answer our queries and respond to our concerns.

At least I "only" paid $5 and was actively able to use 2 of my 5 credits. It paid for itself, but yeah, dead, and no one alerted the subscribers.
