The Cruiselines use Cruisefish to their Advantage now.

It appears the Cruiselines are wise to the fare reduction alerts that Cruisefish sends notification on and now are complicating fares so the true price is not shown on Cruisefish any longer, resulting in missed fare reductions.  In addition, I think the Cruiselines are removing availability and then readding staterooms again only to stimulate sales.

I use to receive a lot more fare reduction alerts from Cruisefish a few years ago...then what I receive today.   Now I need to go into the Cruiseline's website and do a mock booking just to see the actual cruisefare.  Plus, now the cruises that I have alerts set on...I'm receiving from Cruisefish emails that all categories are gone, then the next day they are all back again.  Hmmm...what's this all about?

    These Cruiselines are smart!

I don't ever get notifications from the site anymore.  I thought it went under taking my few credits with it.  Surprised to see it still available and disappointed I'm not getting notifications.

I agree- and most of the notifications are misleading as they happen when say RCL offeres a $25 discount for a sale which they have been running now for 2 1/2 years.  I get excited that there is a price drop only to find that RCL has some kind of new pricing gimmick, or sale.

I am currently monitoring three cruises and get alerts every day regarding these three.  I do, however, set parameters to show drops, rises, and everything else.  I pretty much deal with one cruise line and they have changed their site to be so unfriendly that I can barely stand to look for a cruise.  I believe that cruisefish is still working.

I received an alert this morning that my cabin had increased in price $380. I did a mock booking only to find it not true. I am not sure what to think anymore. The alerts are coming but are incorrect.

    I hear ya Lyndonn.

Been longtime member/user of Cruisefish and now in the past few months get constant daily notices of cruise fare up, gone, whatever and then sometimes within minutes or hours another notice comes stating it is "Back, same price"????

Getting annoying, especially when your getting multiple every day, NOT TO MENTION IF YOU HAVE SEVERAL BOOKINGD.. Crapola!!!

Titus, can you fix this? I hate to reccomend anymore...

I was just looking at an 8-day Southern on Carnival Vista.  CF has a price drop of an interior 4A category to $562.  If I click on that price, it takes me to the cruise's pricing grid.  Under the "2P" header, that category is showing $1104. I assume that means for "2 People"?

When I go to Carnival's site for a mock booking, it is still in the $800-$900 per person range.

Ae they just fake price drops?  What does CF gain in doing this?
