    How do you let Travel agents that guarantee cruise prices know and convince them of this fabulous information

    We don't use a travel agent-- but I would suggest that you monitor your price and if it decreases you call your travel agent immediately so that they can get the reduced price for you. If your agent is out, on vacation, closed on the weekend, etc. you could be out of luck. That is one of the reasons we do not use a TA. Cruise Fish caught a price reduction for us of about $200 per person that lasted less than one day!

    Good morning, When I get a price advisory (email) that the prices have gone down, I just forward the email to my travel agent and she does the necessary. My travel agent is fantastic - I don't think she sleeps. She is always there to make the necessary changes. Cheers,

    We feel it is very important to use a TA that is open 7 days a week and is fully staffed 12 hours a day. It is essential to deal with an agency that does not charge a change fee when you are requesting a lowered fare.

    We have saved thousands of dollars utilizing price monitoring over the years. There have been instances where a lower price was available for less than 24 hours. It is essential to deal with an organization; an individual or a two person operation is just too limited for our requirements.

    thanks for the response....this TA has the qualifications....but they obviously are not great when it comes to follow up, customer service or anything like that....we will not use them again....who do you use if I may ask....

    I am brand new on CruiseFish so I hope I am not breaking any rules by giving TA information (on Cruise Critic you get banished). So if I am out of line, I apologize in advance, and will refrain in the future.

    I use Dan Roney at dan@cruisevacationoutlet.com. No fees for anything . They also accept all the Cruise Line coupons & promotions.

    We cruise 3-4 months every year and have never had any problems with this agency. 800-797-4635.

    It is nice to be able to share positive information. I love my TA. I think he sleeps with his Blackberry:) This is the 3rd cruise we have booked with him (11/16/2011 Solstice). He offers onboard credits and acts immediately when I want to make a change. He is amazingly prompt. Here is his contact info:

    We also started using Richard this year. He is FANTASTIC!!! We highly recommend him as well. Very easy to talk to and answers any questions I have or does research to find out the answer. Truly wonderful personal service.
