    Show price history?

Is it possible to show a price history for all cabin types? I see that, for example, once a cabin is sold out - or otherwise no longer available - the yellow popup box shows the complete rate history, but on cabins that are still avaialble it only shows the most current price and date it was updated.

P.S. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this site. You have done an AWESOME job putting this one together. THANK YOU!!!!

    Hi,

Price history is shown in the same way for all cabin categories regardless of status or availability.

    Thank you for your encouragements!

I am not seeing the price history any more either. At least not on Princess. My Celebrity cruise still is showing all of the history.

    Re: Show price history?

I'll give you an example. I'm looking specifically at Carnival Elation sailing on September 5. Category 4E shows a price history with what the price was on several dates before the category sold out. The other categories only show today's price and that it was updated today. It doesn't show the other dates like 4E does.

Yeah, this function definitely isn't working correctly. If I look at sailings just a few weeks away, I mostly only see one price. Obviously, this isn't correct. In fact, after clicking through many different ships/ dates, more often than not this isn't working....although I did find a few that had a small amount of history.

    Hi,

On some ships prices vary little to none, on others more often: it all depends on the cruiseline's strategy for each ship.

You can check the deals for Carnival Elation and see that some cruises have price movements (and history):

CF does record every price movement for Carnival as our spider checks all their prices several times per 24h.

    Re: Show price history?

    Hi Titus,

After taking some time to look around, I have to concur with the other posters that the price history for cabins that are currently available does not show correctly, even where price changes have occured. It may nor occur all the time and for all sailings (I don't know either way).

Let's take one of the cruises I am watching as an example: Carnival Inspiration sail date Dec. 3, 2011. 1A cabins are no longer available and CF shows the price change history. Up to yesterday, when the cabin was available, it did not show price history.

Cabin 4B, which is still available does not have any price history, although changes have occured in price and notifications were sent by CF. The most recent price drop ($30) happened last week Wednesday.

Also, how often does CF check for price changes. The last drop I noticed on my own took 36 hours for CF to notice. And some changes that were short lived (24 hours in that 36 hours interval) were never noticed by CF because it did not do any checks during that time interval.

    Re: Show price history?

This was a long standing bug. Thanks to your reports I was finally able to squish it.

Price history should now appear correctly on all cruises.
