Same here.  I called C&A three times to verify.  I've written a direct email to CruiseFish.  We pay a fee for this service to get correct info.

Best I can tell is there was a very short lived price drop.   It did drop but immediately went back to the price it was yesterday, they are all showing a price increase now.

I've noticed that if you login to your rccl crown and anchor it will show a different price, but I agree the prices have gone up/down almost immediately, so I check w/ cruisefish and rccl website and they are diferent. What I've noticed the prices go down on the weekend and right back up on Monday.

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

    Same here --

In the past 4 months, I have had categories deleted (unbeknowst to me) and missed price drops as a result.

Have had to reenter my information for my alerts 3 times because of their disappearance and eventually after my emails (I had to "find" the cabin category from another ship before they could be reentered -- strange that I had to do that kind of leg work twice for a service that I am paying for) they were reinstated.

Today I found myself arguing with an RCCL Crown and Anchor representative over the price drops that were listed on here and that I received an alert to. (I have several cabins booked on Liberty of  the Seas for a family reunion -- the price drops shown here and in my alert would have been a significant savings) RCCL and other monitoring sites confirmed there has never been a price drop for any of the categories, not even a temporary one. Needless to say, I am not happy.

This is a business that promises real-time alerts for payment.  As such, it should be accurate and when there is a problem it should be addressed in a timely fashion, not days or weeks later. Who is minding the store?

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

If you log into your RCL account now to check prices a lot of cruises are showing different prices due to the new Crown and Anchor savings program which is replacing the C and A savings certificates.  CF does not show those prices

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

It has nothing to do with it. Just got an email from Titus that says it "seems to be an error from RCI as our algorithm did not change. I will investigate."

However, cruisecritic.com price drop and others show no price drops for  this cruise and as I stated before, RCCL says the same. I am a C&A member and spoke with regular rep. and a C&A supervisor who verified that no price drop for this cruise has ever been published. I am well aware of the construction of programs that can be linked to monitor different events (prices, availability of lodging, etc.)  If it were a glitch on RCCL's side, other monitoring sites would have been affected as well.

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

There is something up with RCI, and they have changed some of their programming.  If you sign in to your RCI account and check the price, you will get a higher price than if you go into your crown and anchor account and then check the pricing.

Some cruise dates have a "hidden savings" in the crown and anchor section. To find them, access your Crown and Anchor account, then click on "special offers", then find the "New - Crown and Anchor Society Exclusive rates, and you will find you will get extra savings over and above what is listed on the website proper.  Same log in, different prices by linking to the cruises via the C&A link, vs the "Plan a Cruise" link.

The current rack price is exactly what is listed here in Cruise fish, and the C&A price has an $$ extra savings.  We have now upgraded to a JS for $125 over our D1 balcony rate, and I am elated, that it is less than $10.00 a day for our 14 day cruise to move up to a higher level, and DOUBLE cruise points to boot, this gets me to the next C&A level in 1 cruise, where I expected it to be at least 2 more cruises.

The RCL website is so messed up it is not  funny.  You also have to follow thru on all steps when logged in and when NOT logged in to get the best price.  On a couple of cruises when I check  the first section where it lists all prices starting when you continue on into the booking the price goes down.  I believe it is the new C and A savings that you see.  It is VERY frustrating and time consuming!!!

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

I checked the price drops (the ones that were erroneously posted) by phone with a Crown and Anchor rep. who also checked with her supervisor. I did check the prices on the website both logged in and not, along with checking other websites that monitor cruise prices. All of them, including RCI showed no price drops as ever having been listed for the August 22, 2015  bermuda 5n.  Titus (the person who apparently administers this site) emailed me back and told me the rates that were posted on cruisefish.net for that particular cruise were wrong and he changed them back.

I know RCI has problems from time to time when they institute new programs or adjust old ones, but this time, the error that needed adjusting had nothing to do with RCI. It was an error on cruisefish's end.

Good luck with your problem, but it was not the same as mine.

I had the exact same problem. Cruise fish was correct. The rates for rccl changed 15 times yesterday while I was in trying to book. My cruise planner at rccl said he saw it to. I talk to the resolutions dept and got it fixed, it was nuts

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

When you say you got it fixed, did they honor the price on cruisefish? According to RCI, the August 22, 2015 sailing of Liberty of the Seas had no price changes. Also, no price change showed up on cruise critic. It's too bad, with the current bookings on that ship that I have, the price drops shown on cruisefish would have saved me close to $4,000.  According to Titus, the administrator of cruisefish.net, the price drops that were posted for that cruise on cruisefish.net were wrong due to an error with an algorithm he uses to monitor RCI sailings.

Re: Got a price drop email but according to rci no drop

These were the price drops published on cruisefish for that cruise.  As you can see there was a significant difference between the old and the new. I do wish they had been correct. It would have saved me a bundle.

    Hi

hate to tell you but Rcci's website changed the rates 15 times yesterday. I had to call resolutions dept cause the reps did not see the rates I was seeing. If it's on there site even if it changes you should be able to get the discount, I did. We booked the oasis August 23 2014 and the rates changed repeatedly while I was in the reservation
