Discrepency between CF and Cruiseline website pricing.

I'm looking for a cruise, and thought I would use the "price drop history" list to look for recent price drops.  I filter (sort) by date, and click through the pages until I find the date I want.  Nice concept.  great, in fact.

I see a cruise where the CF price is not the same as the cruiseline price.

Norweigan Epic March 8, 2014 sailing Category B6 Cabin

    $1099 - NCL        $949 - CruiseFish

is it typical that there is this discrepency?  I'd really love to use this tool.

Also (slight  annoyance).. the recent price drop list has almost 750 pages.  I can only skip ahead/back in increments of 2.   If I am looking for something on page 300, it's a pain to get there.

    Thoughts?

More filtering options, like sail date, would be helpful.

You can filter by sail date. But, there are 750+ pages of price drops, so i'm looking for an easier way to navigate those 750 pages other than jump 2 pages at a time.  :)

What I see is that you can do a sort order by sail date. But I don't see a filter for it like the drop-down selections for CRUISE LINE, CURRENCY, CLASSES AND SHIPS. If Titus could add that, then we would be looking at much shorter lists.

There is a need for more filtering options and a better pager. Meanwhile you can still jump around to the page number of you choice: simply edit the URL directly in your browser's address bar by remplacing the x in "page=x".

Hope this helps until I get around to making necessary changes (currently in a ski resort with family).

    Nice temporary workaround.

I can't use the most recent price drop feature for the same reason, though CF is a very good tool for tracking specific cruise(s).  With regard to price descrepancy, I've seen complaints from other posters, but personally, I've seen dozens of price changes with the HAL cruises that I'm tracking; CF has been right on every time.

    Hi,

I have been watching the RCCL, Allure, sailing 5/19/2013.  The price showing on CF is lower than the price on the RCCL website

here is the link to the cruise.....

This may or may not be the issue, but I have found that when the CF price is lower, especially on NCL cruises, after I add the "senior" & "resident" data in the NCL website, the prices magically become the lower CF rate.

I wish that was the case!  I did put in FL residency on the RCCL website (which is what CF was showing as a lower price...along  with several other states)...but no luck.  This is the first time that I found a discrepancy. CF is great!  Maybe I did something else wrong.....

    Hi,

.I have been watching the prices on the RCCL's Allure, sailing on May 19.  CF is not showing a price reduction that I just stumbled accross.  The link for CF is

    http://www.cruisefish.net/finder.md?id_cruise=17171

Cf is showing $2300+ for a JS, but, the RCCL website is showing $1499 for a resident of Florida rate.  That's a HUGE discrepancy.  Did I do something wromg or is CF just not picking up that price rop?

    Thanks

    PS - I love CF

There is indeed a FL resident rate, but you need to subscribe to it in your alert to see it.

    Hi Titus,

Is this something new?  We used to see it without subscribing.  Will create some alaerts now!
