will the Triumph disaster prevent you from cruising Carnival?

Do cruisers still have faith in that company after all the incidents on Carnival ships?

    See NYT article:

I never had faith in Carnival to begin with.  I choose not to sail with them as they just don't fit my "style".

They say money can't buy love. But maybe it can buy faith. It looks like Carnival is spending the day hitting the price drop button on every cruise and class. My guess is they will fill the ships through discounting.

We've been on lines from Canival to Princess to Royal Caribbean to Norwegian to Celebrity to Viking River Cruises and AMAwaterways and we still like to sail the new Carnival ships.  In fact, we were sailing the Magic the week of the Triumph ordeal and we won't stop cruising any line out there.  Variety is the spice of life..!!

My GF and I were scheduled to sail on the Triumph a couple weeks after the incident[*], and while that cruise was obviously cancelled, we have more cruises scheduled to get me to the Platinum level by the end of the year - on the Ecstasy, the Magic, and yes, the Triumph, so clearly it hasn't driven us away from Carnival.

[*] My use of the term reminds me of a base commander who insisted that what a young Airman considered to be a disaster be termed an incident.  Still, no mater how bad the Triumph was, it doesn't mach up to 73 dead and 500 casualties.
