For that cruise http://www.cruisefish.net/finder.md?id_cruise=17930 on category SS you were notified on 20 March of this drop:

    USD: 3,849 -> 2,988 (-861 $ -22.4 %)

Since then the price has not gone lower and as you only monitor DOWN events, you got no alert, which is the expected behavior.

Le me know if you expected something else.

Along this line, I've always gotten notifications of price drops on all of my monitored cruises. But on the alert page there used to be a record of the date of the most recent email notification. I liked seeing that for my own personal knowledge. What has happened to this column? Did you think it wasn't helpful and so removed it from the page? I'd love to have that feature back. Sometimes I think it's been forever since I've been notified of anything. I would be able to go there and see how recent my notifications actually were.

Somebody on my 23 Feb 2013 Navigator OTS roll call reported a price drop alert from here for D-2 cabins for California residents. I don't think I got a notification.

It would be my first "fail" in an otherwise very satisfactory arrangement.

I also miss the feature of seeing how many alerts I have received on the cruises that I am monitoring.

For clarification, she received a notice for Florida residents and saw the CA price drop when she went to the site. Is there perhaps a problem with the CA resident pricing alert?

I notice TX and NY prices on my alert page but don't get notified about them since I have FL alerts selected. Are you certain you specifically signed up for the CA alert? Is it possible it's a cruise you were monitoring prior to the addition of multi-state alerts and you didn't go back and check the CA alert box? I'm just guessing.

I have never seen a state qualification on my alert page. Where is that? I didn't receive an alert on the same cruise. I am in California. Why does the state I live in make a difference in whether I get an alert or not?

And it was a good guess, but it's the first thing I checked and yes, it says to check for CA resident rates.

Well then, Titus needs to check for bugs. The only bug I ever had was when I got a notice about a price drop that never happened. I've never missed getting a notification for a real true price drop.

It's the first I've missed and the only CA residency drop I've seen since I put in on my alerts.

    Hi Gina,

You are right, the 'last alert' column needs to come back. Added to the TODO. Also I think an actual listing of alerts received (with full text) might be useful.

    Hi critterchick,

Well it's not really a bug, but more of a user-friendliness issue on our part: you were not notified of the CA price because you are not monitoring NEW events.

When an alert is created on a not-yet-available-price the NEW checkbox needs to checked in the alert form.

In the future we will make that selection automatic and non-optional, otherwise there would be no point in creating the alert :-)

Sorry about that and I hope my explanation is clear enough.

Wow! That WAS clear. I went back and checked my own alerts. The first one had NEW events checked. I figured I was really on the ball here. Then as I went along, none of the rest of my NEW boxes were checked. The only new event I would have missed would be for GUARANTEE categories which sometimes do come up as NEW. Thanks for the tip.

Jean, don't forget to hit modify after checking new and also check new for each individual category you have selected - each pink box.
