All resident rates now supported for X and RCL

    Hi,

In your alert setup you can now select any US state (besides the default FL) when monitoring resident rates on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean.

After setting your alert a new empty column labeled "XX Resid" (XX being your state code) will appear in the price table of the cruise you are watching.

On our next round of price updates (a few hours later) you will be notified if any special price is applicable for your state of choice and those prices will appear in the new column. To get a notification make sure you selected the NEW event in your alert.

To disable resident rate monitoring on an alert simple select the first entry labeled '---' in the state popup list.

    Good update/upgrade.

Any chance of the system taking into account any past passenger discounts or savings certificates?

Great work. I would like to be able to see a list of cruises leaving a single port during a selected month. This would make it easier to see them without searching through a lot of others. Once spotting a cruise that I am interested in i could then set an alert. Perhaps an additional filter of departure port on the search queries might work. I enjoy cruising but am tired of spending as much money to get to a cruise as the cruise itself. I live in New Orleans and would like to take advantage of no travel expenses. All in all you have a very nice site. Whodhats

How about alerts I am already watching. Is it possible to go back in and fix them to show local deals?

    Titus

Would it also be possible to add the Canadian Provinces to the state list? I book all my cruises in US$ and live in ON. I don't think Royal or Celebrity add resident rates in CDN$ only.

    Thanks for the upgrade.

I was just able to add the Resident Rate Column to an existing Cruise I was watching...

Just went to the existing alert, choose the state I wanted and clicked on Modify... Screen refreshed and the Column for IL resident was now showing..

    Thanks Sochie

I'm sorry but I'm new to the site and still not sure what I'm doing. Could you write out the steps you took? I went to the top and sleeked alerts and could not find the state anywhere.:realconfused: Never mind I DID IT!

Titus, Bless you, bless you, bless you! I am thrilled that you have added the states residency option. It makes a great site even greater! Thank you so very much.

You are welcome, it was long overdue.

(now I have to deal column inflation on certain cruises with many active residency rates)

    Hi,

How do Canadian residency rates work with these two cruise lines?

Do these rates require USD or CAD pricing?

I still can't do it. How about telling the ones of us that can't figure it out how you did it. Thanks

if you have already set up alerts: 1. Go to Cruisefish home page 2. Select "Alerts" 3. Click on Sail Date you wish to modify for resident alerts 4. Click on one of the types of cabins you had already selected 5. Go down midway to resident rate and select your state from the dropdown menu 6. Click Modify and your resident state will be added to that alert.

Go to the top and click on ALERTS Click on Sail Date Click on the cabin type you are watching When it opens up you will see the price you asked cruisefish to watch for you. Lower down on the page select your state. Then save your change and go out. When you come back in you will see it has been changed. Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you who responded to my plea for help. It was so easy that I was almost embarrassed but then I remembered a sign in my co-workers office that said - "There's no such thing as a stupid question - just stupid mistakes." I really do appreciate you coming to my rescue. Thanks again.

Re: All resident rates now supported for X and RCL

Is there any way to set a logon ID to show the specific state you are looking for on ALL searches using FINDER? I am using our specific state for my alerts. However, when I logon into Finder I see on lt Florida Residents. Is there a way to show NJ in that column instead of Florida?

That would be a great help.
