Category GONE, but RCI still has availability...

Cruising on July 13th on Brilliance of the Seas, I check the rates many many many times a day as ALL sailings before and after ours have had price drops except ours...:-(

Today on Cruisfish our category is gone (E3), but when I make a mock booking on the RCI website there are several cabins still available? Computer glitch?

    Hi,

    When I go to:

    http://www.royalcaribbean.com/booking/getDepartureInfo/checkAvailability.do?sailDate=1120713&wuc=USA&hasSenior=Y&packageCode=BR10U020&shipCode=BR&StickToDomain=USA

(might have to click on that link twice, first time sets the cookie)

And look at the Balcony cabins I clearly see that E3 is not offered (E1 and E2 are though)

How did you proceed to see an availability on E3 for that cruise?

PS: when reporting a possible issue please state the CF link:

Travelling as 2 adults and 1 child (so 3 pax in the cabin).

E3 still is available for 3 guests. Thanks for looking into this!

Indeed but CF can only check prices for 2 adult passengers, for now. But I'm still curious why a cabin would become unavailable when booking as two but available when booking as three.

If anyone has a clue I'm interested.

I can't base this on any facts, but my guess is that they have booked 'Guarantee' balconies, and only by booking 3 people into a cabin (vs 2 adults) does it become more profitable for them to upgrade someone else and book you. They may lose a higher stateroom, but they get 3 paid passengers instead of (most likely) 2 people booking the cabin the others would be upgraded to. So in this case they would have 5 paid passengers in 2 cabins instead of 4 paid passengers.
